There is a new, high-end product from the R.H. research laboratory:

Chrom-nah NG (Next Generation)
Order No.: 79-1000/5  150 ml

Hints for the professional paint shop for achieving a mirror finish:

1. Chrom-nah NG must be sprayed over a glossy 2 Component lacquer; e.g. 2
Component black lacquer or 2 coat silver metallic (silver base coat lacquer
and 2 Component glossy clear lacquer).

2. In order to achieve a brilliant mirror-finish effect, this 2 Component lacquer
must hard-dry competely. As 2 Component lacquers differ in components and
drying times, you should check the lacquer used in your paint shop before use.
It is crucial to determine the drying time so Chrom-nah NG is not applied too early.

You will find the mirror-finish effect is only moderate when sprayed on 2 Component
lacquer which has only dried for a short period of time (e.g. 30 min. at 60° C), however,
after three days of drying (or 5h at 60° C) the mirror-finish effect is excellent!

3. Do not touch the 2 Component lacquer! Fingerprints or dust cloth traces will show
after drying.

4.  Chrom-nah NG must be sprayed with a 0.5 nozzle at 2 bar injection pressure.
When using a larger nozzle (1.0 max.) the injection must be raised and the lacquer-flow
must be reduced.

5. Let Chrom-nah NG dry for 30 min. at 60° C or overnight.

6.  Seal with 2 Componet clear lacquer.

The clear lacquer finish will diminish the mirror-finish effect slightly, but this cannot
be avoided at this time. Your customer will be thrilled with the brilliant results of a
paint job on, for example, the rims.

P.S.: If you don´t mind the extra effort, you can apply another thin, but full coat of
1 Component water-based clear lacquer (Order No. 79-0040, 250 ml; let dry for 30 min.
at 60° C). This will enhance the mirror-finish effect and add extra shine.

375 ml spray lacquer Order No.: 79-0008/1

Possible areas of use: Chassis/Casing, tank, fender, frame, bail, rims, engine,
exhaust system. This new development will delight professional painters, excite
designers, fire imagination and evoke new ideas of use.

R.H. Chrom-nah No. 79-0008 requires a clean, smooth surface as well as a glossy,
insoluble primer (e.g. 2 component acrylic lacquer, not 1 component acrylic lacquer).

We achieved the best results with the following method:

1st coat:
R.H. 2 Component frame Lacquer glossy black No. 21-0510
Let dry no less than 18 hours
Do not sand frame lacquer

2nd coat:
R.H. Chrom-nah No. 79-0008
The spray gun should be equiped with a smaller nozzle, 0.8 to 1.3 max.
Injection pressure: 2-3 bar, reduce Lacquer flow.
Let dry R.H. Chrom-nah for at least 3 hours, prefarably overnight

3rd coat:
R.H. 2 Component Clear Lacquer No. 21-0007, dilluted 2:1 with
R.H. Spray Thinner No. 99-0004

Hints for Experts:

For painting large surfaces with R.H. Chrom-nah, we recommend using a silver
metallic, 2 Component base lacquer instead of black lacquer.
R.H. Chrom-nah can be thinned down up to 1:1 with R.H. Thinner No. 99-0004.
Due to the lower covering power, this will create e.g. over a black lacquer, an
elegant anthrazit chrome tone.

Exceptionally brilliant colors can be achieves through the 4-Coat-Method:

1st coat: R.H. 2 Component frame Lacquer, black, No. 21-0510
2nd coat: R.H. Chrom-nah No. 79-0008
3rd coat: Candy No. 59-….
4th coat: R.H. 2 Component Clear Lacquer No. 21-0007

Heat-Proof Paintings, e.g on engine block or cylinder:

1st coat: R.H. 2 Component Engine Lacquer, glossy black No. 21-0049
2nd coat: R.H. Chrom-nah No. 79-0008
3rd coat: R.H. 2 Component Engine Clear Lacquer No. 21-0015

Highly Heat-Proof Paintings, e.g. for exhaust systems:

1st coat: R.H. 700° C Thermo Lacquer, silver mat No. 14-0014
2nd coat: R.H. Chrom-nah No. 79-0008

R.H. 700° C Thermo Lacquer, silver, is an up-scale lacquer, both qualitatively and
visually. When coated with R.H. Chrom-nah, the visual appearance becomes
exceptional. This 2-Coat painting does not create a chrome-look; however, it
produces a beautiful silver tone.

There are innumerable possibilities for interior use. As R.H. Chrom-nah is indelible
and oxidation-resistant even without a clear lacquer coat, painted objects can be
touched and wiped with a damp cloth. The brilliant shine will stay!
